What do you get for five dollars

What do you get for

Two Dollars a Month?

That’s correct. Subscriptions start from $2 (dollars) every month. You get, apart from our gratitude, a few more things.

We charge a small amount for the basic membership to save time, and spammers do not want to pay. Robots create accounts and do weird stuff. If you put a small charge up, they tend to stay away.

That is good for us.

Why should I join the Trade shack.

You get additional benefits. The three core ones are listed below. Joining also enables us to build more detailed tools to help you. The main reason, as explained, is to keep prying eyes and the annoying trolls out. Privacy is important.

Remember it is once every month.

$2 gets you

Quite a lot really, remember it is Five dollars every Three months, which is not much considering what you can do on the site.

Watch the video for more information, we will add more and more as we go along.

We are adding new features regularly

It is about connecting.

As mentioned, our goal is not to get rich from it. We hope to cover the cost. The key is communicating online on a reasonably safe, protected and privacy-concerned site.

We are not fans of Fakebook and Instasomething and have no intention to Tick Tock anytime soon. They are data collection and aggregation machines. That is how they make money, advertising and selling your information and habits to the highest bidder.

BigTech sells your private information to the highest bidder in a hearth beat.

It is NOT about replacing.

There are so many good initiatives, some better, some worse than this one. If you are a REKO user, then keep REKOing via Facebook. We do see this site complimenting the REKO community in the long run. Undoubtedly, Facebook and the like will put more restrictions up and perform more data mining. If that is ok with you, then keep using Facebook.

Like local edible exchanges currently, they are based upon a “brick and mortar” location, which is fantastic, but not everybody can go there every time. Again these places heavily rely on Facebook et.al. If it works, keep doing it.

It is about making it work.

If it works, keep doing it. If it works well, replicate it. That is what we hope to achieve here. The edible exchange on this site is dong what happens on Facebook and REKO. The seed exchange is just another form of the same thing.

Start online interactions to create physical connections, we have to make real-life work.

The digital Town Square

Perhaps you remember the old days when all local producers gathered daily or weekly to sell their goods. This process catered for buying and selling produces and products. It also worked as an exchange of news and information. Directly face to face without any middle man, or “large brother”, for that matter.

This site will work just like that. You can hide behind your scarf, revealing only what you want. You can set up your profile to make visible only what you want to have visible.

You are in control of your privacy
